Visit of Labour Party executives in Oyo State on a courtesy call to the executives of Oyo state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress to brief them about the activities of the New invigorated Labour party in Oyo state. Part of the meeting deliberated on seeking the inputs of NLC Oyo state in our quest to run a labour friendly, worker friendly government come 2023 and that our membership drive require all labour in Oyo state. As stated we would run an all inclusive government to transform entire state and move us forward from current snail speed development to full blast 21st century modern state. We explained that anyone who wakes up each morning to go out there to work and find daily bread is part of labour and we have great plans for them and their familie

Next port of call is the palace of Onitede of Tede where we had a swell time especially with the youths of the town. They felt neglected, hopeless and thought they are faced with a bleak future. We encouraged them and told them the wait will not be so long as New Labour in Oyo state is set to bring them a new dawn come 2023. We told them redemption is just around the corner. With this kind of turn-out we make bold to say our membership drive is on course. Thereafter we went to the palace to alert the paramount ruler that his people are firmly with us and that we will not neglect or abandon them as previously done in the past. We connected heart-to-heart and heart-beat for heart-beat. During our time in the town, we saw how disconnected the people were to the government and a feel of total abandonment. We are still doing all we can to retain the relevance of New Labour party across entire Oke-Ogun.

After our membership campaign ward-to-ward, we paid a courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of Ago-Are to brief him about the overwhelming reception we had from his people and to explain developmental policies of the New Labour Party in Oyo state and how they will affect the people of Ago-Are and environs. The meeting was a win-win for the people and Labour party. Work is ongoing to translate our efforts to a landslide victory in the Oke-Ogun flank of the state. We hope to meet and surpass our membership target in the area.

Now at Igboho, after saying our goodbyes to the people who thronged us at a rally, many of them still followed us to the palace of Onigboho. At the palace we explained our mission that New Labour party is currently on membership campaign and people are solidly behind us. He blessed us and accepted as our mission to save Oyo state is well overdue.
